Dr. David Azar, MD

Medical Director

Dr. David Azar MD received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 2006. He is currently one of two pathologists for three hospitals, Indiana Regional Medical Center, Punxsutawney Area Hospital, and Clarion Hospital, reviewing surgical, cytology and fine needle aspirations specimens and bone marrow biopsies.

From 2017-2018, he served as Staff Pathologist for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for both Passavant Hospital and Magee Women's Hospital. During this time, he performed general pathology with a concentration on GYN, breast, GI, GU and thoracic pathology as well as participated in numerous multidisciplinary tumor boards and educational conferences.

Before moving to Pittsburgh, Dr. Azar served as Medical Director for Point of Care Testing, TearLab, in San Diego.
